Gavin Platz (AUS)

Gavin Platz was for a long time the only fly only shop owner in Australia. His Tie n' Fly Shop located in Buddina, a small town next to Mooloolaba in Queensland is still the fly shop in the region. If you are heading north along the coast, contact Gavin and drop in but be sure he is not guiding. Otherwise his partner will be around. Gavin fishes around Mooloolaba and does trips to different locations in Australia and also to other countries. In November he is guiding in Hervey Bay for marlin on the fly. Gavin is also a certified fly casting instructor, so he will have the one or other tip for you if you are not that a good caster. But he will bring you as close to the fish as possible anyway.
